Our Story and Passion for Cycling

About Us

Welcome to Indoor Cycling Videos, created to promote the YouTube Channel Videos for Indoor Cycling Workouts — where the road is always open, the views are always stunning, and the weather is (almost) always sunny.

This project was founded by Tony Lawton, a former Product Development Consultant based in London. For years, Tony worked with tour operators designing and curating detailed travel itineraries, helping people discover incredible places in the UK and beyond. His career was built on one simple idea: create experiences that make people feel something.

That passion took a new direction after a visit to the Monsal Trail in the Peak District. It was there he was properly introduced to cycling — not just as transport, but as an experience. The landscapes, the tunnels, the freedom of the ride… it stuck.

Then came the pandemic.

Like many, Tony found himself adapting. He bought an e-bike, set up a turbo trainer in his garage, and began riding indoors using subscription cycling platforms. They were good — but something was missing. The connection to real places. The storytelling. The feeling of being somewhere meaningful.

When restrictions lifted and the world reopened, Tony launched a new project: Bringing the Outside In.

The idea was simple but ambitious — to curate and produce high-quality indoor cycling videos filmed in beautiful, real locations. Not generic backdrops, but immersive journeys. Rides that feel like you’re actually there.

From that vision came the In Your Pocket Playlists.

Imagine having The Yorkshire Dales in Your Pocket. Or the Peak District. Or your favourite coastal road. Carefully filmed, thoughtfully edited, and designed specifically for indoor cycling workouts. Whether you're training seriously or just enjoying a steady spin, you can ride through iconic landscapes whenever you like — completely free on our YouTube channel.

And yes, just like Google Maps, it’s a sunny day almost every day on Videos for Indoor Cycling Workouts. You might encounter the very occasional British shower — but we are in the UK after all, and a little rain is good for cooling down.

Tony continues to plan and film new routes each summer, constantly expanding the collection so riders can explore more of the UK from their own homes.

Because great rides shouldn’t depend on the weather.
And beautiful landscapes shouldn’t be limited to summer weekends.

Clip in. Press play.
Bring the outside in. 🚴‍♂️
